INDIANAPOLIS — A person is in critical condition after a reported shooting on the near west side of Indianapolis.

According to officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a call of a person shot near the intersection of W. 14th Street and N. Tibbs Avenue at around 3:51 p.m. Sunday.

A person is in critical condition after a reported shooting on the near west side of indianapolis.

When officers arrived, they located a person who had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The person was reported to be in critical condition.

On Wednesday, officials with IMPD said that the person was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials with the Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the person who died as 40-year-old Clifford Nathaniel Hudson.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident.
