Federal shutdown won't stop Ft. Benning's MWR sponsored Oktoberfest
The festival will be held at Uchee Creek Campground in Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Friday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 19. The three-day event will feature free live entertainment, family and children’s activities, German food and beer and the Dirndl Dash 5k and Lederhosen Leap 10k races.
On Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET., the keg tapping ceremony will officially kick off the festival. More than 30 vendors will be in attendance all weekend long.
Admission and parking are free, and the event is dog-friendly (leashes required).
