Jester said his office has improved its throughput for new business filings by 90% in the past six months. Currently, new business processing is completed in one day or less, compared to the 14-day process of the past, he said.
With this improvement, businesses can start the same day they file, Jester said.
Jester added that the updated timeline will impact a wide range of business and commercial processes, including new and current business filings, charitable organization and nonprofit filings, notary certifications and other specialized services, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings and services, international document authentication, and other forms of business.
Jester said he was proud of his Business Services team for putting the taxpayer first.
