SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A man with a lengthy theft record was arrested on October 13, 20125, after detectives caught him stealing from T.J. Maxx during a retail theft operation.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, loss prevention staff reported that Gerald Odom was seen removing price tags and concealing items. Detectives waited outside and arrested him without incident as he exited the store.
Stolen merchandise from T.J. Maxx and other retailers was recovered. Odom, who has 20 prior theft arrests and 18 convictions, according to SPD. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail for felony theft (habitual) and also had an active warrant for battery.
