WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita police are seeking information on a woman who was allegedly taken by force and have released surveillance footage of the possible abduction.

The woman was taken by force on Sunday, about 2 a.m. near 14th and North Volutsia, according to the Wichita Police Department.

onday, police said they haven’t been able to identify the man or woman in the video.

“We’ve worked throughout the day on this investigation, following up on numerous leads, and we appreciate the public’s help,” WPD said on Facebook. “Exploring all options, we’ve reached out to our regional and federal law enforcement partners for additional assistance.”

Investigators shared the video with the public with reduced background noise in hopes that someone would recognize the voice of the woman, who can be heard screaming:

Police ask that if you recognize either the man or the woman, you contact 911. They want to ensure the woman’s safety. Information can also be provided to WPD detectives at 316-268-4407.
