Man, dog hit and killed by Amtrak train in Chicago

CHICAGO (WGN) – A man and a dog were hit and killed by an Amtrak train Tuesday afternoon on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

Metra spokespeople said the collision happened at around 12:45 p.m. near West Devon Avenue and North Central Avenue in the Forest Glen neighborhood.

Witnesses told Metra the man was walking his dog alongside the tracks when witnesses tried to yell to him that a train was coming.
