According to a release, the campaign reported over $425,000 raised with $510,000 cash on hand from donors.
Officials categorized the numbers as a reflection of excitement and enthusiasm behind Croke’s candidacy.
“Margaret’s third quarter raise is a testament to the excitement and momentum building for her candidacy from donors, elected officials, labor, and supporters from every corner of this state,” said Lucy Moog, finance co-chair, Croke for Illinois State Comptroller. “Margaret is a workhorse on the campaign trail, shaking every hand and meeting with every elected official and advocate willing to have a conversation about all that is at stake for this great state. This is the kind of tenacity she will not only bring to the office of state comptroller, but to the statewide ticket in a general election during a time when we need to get every Democrat out to vote in November 2026.”
Officials state Croke has been a member of the General Assembly since January 2021 and is the chair of the Financial Institutions & Licensing Committee. She is also a member of the Revenue and Finance Committee, chairing its Income and Tax Subcommittee.
Officials also state Croke has centered legislative priorities around making Illinois a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship as well as leading efforts to expand access to affordable childcare and passed legislation to address cyberbullying in public and private schools.
“We are building a campaign that reflects the priorities and values of all Illinoisans, and our fundraising this quarter shows that voters believe in our message,” said State Rep. Croke. “With support coming from across the state, our campaign is entering the next phase stronger than ever.”
