Body discovered in Shreveport’s Twelve Mile Bayou

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport Police say the body of a man was found in Twelve Mile Bayou.

The Shreveport Police Department reported that a fisherman discovered a body on Monday, October 13. After arriving on scene, the officers located the body using a drone unit, with assistance from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Shreveport Fire Department.

The body has since been released to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office. The deceased individual is described as a Black male, possibly in his 40s.

At this time, foul play is not suspected, but an investigation is ongoing.
