(WPHL) — The Pennsbury High School Marching Band in Fairless Hills, Pa., geared up for the US Navy and Marine Corps 250th Birthday Parade.

On Friday, PHL17 had the chance to talk to some students about what they are excited about for Monday’s parade.

“I’m honored to be doing it with all of my friends. We’re all like one big family,” said Grace Ochoa, a Pennsbury High School senior.

“There’s so much history walking around Center City,” said Adaline Maurer, a Pennsbury High School senior. “I just love smiling at all the people on the side. They love watching us. I think it’s great to bring joy to them.”

“It’s a big honor, especially for me personally. I have a military family on my mom’s side,” said Amira Calahorrano, a Pennsbury High School senior. “Whether they’re fallen or are still here [today], major respect to them, because we wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them.”
