Moreno launches New Orleans mayoral transition website

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mayor-Elect Helena Moreno announced her mayoral transition effort, “New Direction New Orleans,” just days after winning the New Orleans mayoral election.

has been established that will enable residents to stay informed and share information with the incoming Moreno administration. The website will be updated with resources, job postings and ways for residents to participate in the transition process.

The transition chairs, set to be announced soon, will identify leaders for committees that will develop plans for the administration.

The release states that Moreno plans to focus on bringing greater coordination to the city government and having more community engagement.
