ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — As Halloween draws near, haunted attractions across the Rockford region are opening their doors to thrill-seekers and horror fans. From eerie train rides to haunted barns, here’s a roundup of the haunted houses operating in the area this season:
- Twisted Crypt Haunted House
5420 E. State St., Rockford
Features 14 rooms with special effects and over 40 characters.
Hours: 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. (Fri/Sat), 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Sun)
Admission: $20 general, $30 fastpass, $40 VIP
Recommended for ages 13 and up. - Hoppers Haunted House

Hours: 7 p.m. to 11:45 (Fri/Sat), 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Sun).
Admission: $20, $15 for EMT, police, veterans, and active military. - Karnival of Karnage

Paranormal tour of historic Rockford locations.
