Alabama 8-year-old receiving new kidney
WEBB, Ala. (WDHN) — A Wiregrass family is getting their miracle, finally receiving the call that could save their daughter’s life.

Kaitlynn Mosley, 8, has been battling stage four kidney failure for the past nine months as her family desperately waited for a transplant.

The Mosleys were in Orlando for a Make-A-Wish trip to Walt Disney World when they got that call on Thursday at 5:05 p.m. that there was a potential donor and then another one at 3:30 a.m. Friday confirming that the kidney was a match.

The family drove all night from Orlando to Children’s of Alabama, where Kaitlynn is currently undergoing transplant surgery.

The surgery should take about four hours, and we are still waiting to hear if her body accepts it.

Kaitlynn will be in the hospital for about two weeks in recovery, and her family asks that you keep her in your prayers that all goes smoothly.

If you would like to help the Mosleys during a difficult time for them, you can donate to their GoFundMe here.
