This man was found dead near Porterville, deputies now searching for family

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help in finding a recently passed man’s family.

Deputies say 53-year-old Luis Manuel Hernandez was found unresponsive in a vehicle in the Porterville area on Oct. 1. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead.

Staff at the coroner’s office have searched numerous personal records but have been unable to find his relatives. Unfortunately, Hernandez cannot be laid to rest until his immediate family is found.

Anyone who knows Hernandez or his relatives is asked to contact Sergeant William Perryman or Detective Justin Pipkin at 559-687-7000 or anonymously at  559-725-4194 or tcso@tipnow.com.
