IMPD: 1 critically injured in shooting on southwest side of Indianapolis

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 4700 block of Kentucky Avenue around 6:50 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a person with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

IMPD reported that the person is currently in critical condition.

It is unclear if police have identified or detained any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the shooting.
