Gas leak forces road to close in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Officials said repairs are expected to be completed by late Friday evening following a gas leak in Arlington.

In a post on X, Arlington Alert said the leak took place on N Buchanan Street between 23rd Street and 24th Street.

As of Friday morning, crews with Washington Gas were making repairs to the gas line.

According to Arlington Alert, repairs are expected to be finished by 5 p.m. Friday.

While repairs are in progress, the road is currently closed.
