Head coach Jon Sumrall recapped the Olive and Blue’s performance and highlighted key areas where his team needed to improve.
Tulane went into halftime up 12-0, but the score did not reflect the Green Wave’s dominance, due to the team’s redzone struggles: finishing the game with only two touchdowns on six red zone trips.
Penalties were also an issue. Tulane drew 11 flags for 96 yards.
After allowing 16-unanswered points though, the Olive and Blue rallied thanks to two fourth quarter scores and improved to 2-0 in conference play.
The Green Wave’s next game will be back at Yulman Stadium with a rematch of the 2024 American Conference Championship Game: hosting Army in an 11 a.m. kickoff on October 18th.
