Police provide update on active search for missing Philadelphia woman

According to Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore, police are searching in and around Awbury Arboretum in Germantown. Vanore said investigators are “following the evidence” from tipsters, which led them to the arboretum, a challenging area to search.

So far, police have not found anything related to the investigation.

Scott was last seen leaving Saturday night from her overnight job at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, an assisted living facility along East Abington Avenue.

Detectives say there weren’t any surveillance cameras nearby, and her vehicle was found parked outside the facility. Scott’s cell phone has not been used, is inactive on social media, and has not reached out to family and friends.

According to police, a few days before her disappearance, Scott told family and friends that people she didn’t know were harassing her on the phone.

Police have used helicopters and K-9 units in their search.
