(WHTM) — Perhaps the top race in the election is not a race but rather a retention election for three Democratic Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices.

It’s a simple yes or no vote. Yes means they get retrained for an additional 10-year term.

On Thursday, the League of Women Voters warned there is a misinformation campaign and, the league said, it’s funded by a billionaire.

Mailers blame the justices for gerrymandered congressional maps when those justices actually threw out the gerrymandered map and ordered it redrawn. The league said the distortion goes way beyond politics as usual.

“It’s what Elon Musk tried to do in Wisconsin, was to try and throw money to try and ordain an outcome in Wisconsin,” said Susan Gobreski, board president of League of Women Voters PA. “Voters don’t like it. Voters are going to reject it if they know about it, and so I think that it’s really important that voters pay attention and that we call out the way that money is influencing our campaigns.”

The league insists it’s not trying to tell anyone who to vote for but just asks they get information about the justices from non-partisan sources before casting their ballot.
