Illinois State Police arrest man after child suffers facial injuries, broken arm
PROPHETSTOWN, Ill. (WTVO) — A Whiteside County man has been arrested for child battery after a 12-year-old suffered facial injuries and a broken arm.

According to the Illinois State Police, a concerned citizen reached out the Prophetstown Police Department after seeing facial injuries on the 12-year-old, and ISP was called in to investigate.

Special agents discovered that the child had previously suffered an unreported broken arm.

The suspect was identified as Earl Chinn, Sr., 55, of Prophetstown.

He was arrested Wednesday, October 8th and has been charged with aggravated battery to a child causing great bodily harm, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated domestic battery to a child, and domestic battery.
