Because They’re Funny
- Held Friday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Wharf at different times for each performance
- Third annual festival celebrating D.C.’s comedy scene
- Events include the”breakout comedian of the year competition hosted by Jay Pharoah, and the “Hey Ladies Comedy Experience” hosted by Sommore and features Tisha Campbell, Zainab Johnson, Leslie Liao, and more

Snallygaster
- Held Saturday, Oct. 11, on Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Streets from 2 to 6 p.m., opens at noon for VIP admission
- 13th annual celebration of D.C.’s biggest beer festival, including over 450 draft beers, gravity kegs, and bottles
- General admission includes unlimited beer, wine, and cocktail tasting all day long, and a commemorative tasting glass
- Kid-friendly events include face-painting and pumpkin decorating, with kids under 12 entering for free
- General Admission is $75, and VIP is $150. The event is rain or shine
Fairfax Fall Festival
- Takes place Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Fairfax
- 49th annual festival celebrating the historic Downtown Fairfax area
- Features over 400 arts and crafts vendors, a beer garden, and multiple stages for live performances
- Family-friendly activities, including face painting, amusement rides, and more
- Free admission. Parking is available in Old Town Plaza or the Judicial Center parking garage
Annapolis Sailboat Show
- Runs from Thursday, Oct. 9, through Sunday, Oct. 12, at the City Dock from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Features multihulls, cruisers, races, and educational opportunities to learn more about sailing
- Chance for new and long-time sailors to connect and show off their boats
- General admission is $32, and the price for kids ages 7-15 to enter is $10
