Rain Clears Out, Cooler Days Ahead
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – A front that swept through the region Wednesday afternoon brought pockets of locally heavy rainfall, with some areas picking up at least an inch according to rain gauges.

Thursday: Clouds will linger into Thursday morning, with a few light sprinkles possible well south and east of Columbus. By Thursday afternoon, skies will begin to clear as a cooler and drier air mass moves in. Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 70s — a refreshing change after recent warmth.

Rest of the Week: Looking ahead, Friday through much of next week will feature a stretch of sunny days and crisp, cool nights. Morning lows will dip into the mid-50s as we head into the weekend, while daytime highs stay slightly below average. Humidity levels will drop, making for comfortable fall weather.

For those dealing with seasonal allergies, the changing conditions may still trigger symptoms, so keep your remedies close at hand.
