Although the Lynx season didn’t end with a championship, two players are being rewarded for their performance this year.

On Wednesday, the WNBA announced that Lynx forwards Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith were named to the All-Defensive First Team.

This is Collier’s second All-Defensive First Team selection and Smith’s first. They also became the first pair of teammates in franchise history to earn these honors in the same season.

In 33 games this season, Collier averaged 22.9 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. She totaled eight games with at least three blocks and won Western Conference Player of the Month three times.

Smith, the 2025 WNBA Co-defensive player of the year along with A’ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces, averaged 9.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals in 42 games. She finished third in the WNBA in blocks per game and total blocks (80).
