Just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, officers were sent to reports of a fight involving a knife near Prospect Avenue in Park City.
Hanna Delahoussaye Boutin, 37, was arrested and booked in the Summit County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
Police say the incident began when Boutin’s neighbor, a 30-year-old man, heard a “pounding” on his apartment door. Boutin allegedly claimed he owed her money. When the man opened the door, Boutin is believed to have had a knife in her hand. A fight immediately took place just inside the apartment’s threshold.
Charging document say the man wrestled Boutin out of the apartment, gaining control of the knife. He told police he then tossed it into his apartment before locking himself inside with Boutin outside the residence.
According to police, a “minor skin injury” was found on the upper chest of the man claiming to be attacked.
Officers were able to make contact with Boutin and say she admitted to having a knife with her during the altercation. The knife was taken into custody for evidence.
Boutin was charged Monday with multiple felonies including a first-degree felony charge for aggravated burglary.
She is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Oct. 10.
