The initial report was made on Sept. 22, after Ventura County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on the 600 block of Avenida de la Plata.
Deputies took a report of a man looking inside the occupied home and then attempting to get inside. He fled the area prior to deputies arriving on scene.
Weeks later, through “various investigative techniques and resources,” authorities identified the suspect as 19-year-old Joanky Yanil Galvez of Simi Valley.
Galvez was located and taken into custody on Tuesday, and a search warrant was served at his home.
He was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail with bail set at $100,000. He was expected to appear in court Thursday to face charges for peeping and burglary, officials said.
