Is Play Faire Park closed for good in Abilene?

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene’s legacy mini-golf course, Play Faire Park, may be closed for good.

Google says the location on N 2nd Street is “closed for good”, and Play Faire Park posted the following message on Facebook October 7:

“Hey folks, we regret to inform you that we are closed today. Stay tuned and we will have more details to follow in the coming days.”

No further details were ever posted, so KTAB and KRBC went by the location after 3:00 p.m. Thursday, which would have been usual operating hours, but no one was there.

Play Faire Park has also opened a message from KTAB and KRBC asking about the future of their establishment but there was never a reply.

This uncertainty comes amid a legal battle between long-time owners/operators of Play Faire Park, Chris and Melanie England, and the landlord over the property, Charlie Wolfe.

Read more about that ongoing dispute here on BigCountryHomepage.com.

This article will be updated if additional information, including a statement from Play Faire Park, is released.
