Flood Watch issued for central, southern, and eastern Utah through Saturday night as tropical moisture moves into the state
Temperatures will remain above average for our Thursday, before dropping again this weekend as the next upper low moves overhead. This system does have the potential to bring more decent rain totals for the valleys and snow totals for the mountains above 7,000 FT. The heaviest rainfall looks to be targeting SE Utah where totals between 1-2″+ will be likely. Flood Watches are in effect for all of southern and eastern Utah through Saturday night. The rest of the area could pick up an average of 0.50″-1.00″ which would be another big rain event for northern Utah.
We will begin to dry out to wrap up the weekend, but another system could flirt with the area by the middle of next week, although the models are split on that one for now.
