On Thursday, the Concord Police Department said a man tried to snatch an elderly woman’s wallet while she was on her mobility scooter in a local shopping area.

“When she bravely resisted, he assaulted her and fled,” CPD said. “Luckily, the victim was not seriously injured.”
Shortly after, police found the suspect nearby and arrested him.
