The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. when Ventura County Line Train 104, with 85 passengers onboard, ran into an empty Metrolink train, the Los Angeles Times reported.
One passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment while six passengers and the train conductor suffered minor injuries, Metrolink spokesperson Brett Hawkins told the Times.
San Bernardino Line Trains 310 and 327 were canceled as a result of the incident.
“Fortunately, at that time of morning, we have San Bernardino Line trains running every 30 minutes, so the operational impact wasn’t too heavy,” Hawkins told the Times.
No initial information was reported on the cause of the crash.
