County elections offices began mailing out ballots on Monday, and ballot drop-off locations have been available since Tuesday.
The California Secretary of State website said voters can expect to receive vote-by-mail ballots if they have not already.
To ensure their vote is counted, registered voters can return their ballot early through mail or drop it off at a drop box.
Officials said vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by Nov. 12.
All Voter’s Choice Act counties will open early in-person voting centers on Oct. 25.
Those who are not already registered to vote have until Oct. 20 to do so.
