Unhoused man tied to series of car burglaries found with stolen gun: SSFPD

(KRON) — A 30-year-old unhoused South San Francisco man faces several multiple felony charges after being tied to a series of vehicle burglaries, said police.

South San Francisco police said the man was believed to have a firearm that was stolen during a recent car burglary at a Travelodge hotel.

Police said day shift officers located the suspect last week at an encampment near Marco Road after following up on a community tip from the day before.

“During a search of his belongings, officers recovered the stolen firearm, stolen items from the original burglary, and additional property tied to other vehicle burglaries in South San Francisco,” said police in a social media post.
