
According to ASP officials, state troopers, along with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, responded to reports of a missing aircraft near the intersection of State Highways 75 and 306, west of Midway.
State troopers said Memphis air traffic control lost radar contact and communications with the aircraft traveling from New Orleans to Jonesboro.
Around 6 p.m., special agents said they found the missing plane, a Cessna 210B, in an area south of Highway 306 outside Parkin.
The victims killed in the crash were identified as 59-year-old Bob Clark Bolton Jr. of Heber Springs, 52-year-old Stanley Mitchell and 56-year-old Michael Montgomery, both from Jonesboro. Authorities said Bolton was the pilot.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the deadly crash.
