LAFAYETTE, La. (
KLFY) — It’s time to reveal the Week 5 Play of the Week and Week 6 Game of the Week.
Our Week 5 high school football Play of the Week comes from Rayne’s Lon Paul Moody’s defensive touchdown.
In the second quarter, Rayne was leading 14-7 when Moody capitalized on a Northside fumble, taking the ball back for a touchdown. Despite this pivotal play, Rayne could not maintain their lead and succumbed to the Vikings 49-43.
Rayne will look to bounce back from their defeat when they host the undefeated Teurlings Rebels this Friday. The Wolves are eager to regain their footing and improve their record.
Week 6’s game of the week features North Vermilion against Comeaux. The Patriots are still searching for their first win of the season after a 28-3 loss to Ascension Episcopal last Friday.
Comeaux, with a 3-2 record, had their three-game winning streak snapped by Teurlings in a 55-14 defeat. The Spartans will aim to recover as they host North Vermilion at Spartan Stadium on Friday night.
