October Prime Day Is Your Last Chance to Save on Fun Halloween and Horror Stuff
Amazon’s Prime Day in October is still going strong for one more day and is filled with decent discounts from just about every category you can think of. If you’re a bargain hunter looking for a deal on something specific like a new iPad Pro, an upgraded smartphone, your wishlisted LEGO set, or practical everyday things, then you’ve likely started adding those products to your cart already. For the rest of you who are here specifically for Halloween vibes, or you enjoy browsing random deals’ lists out of sheer curiosity, I got you.
One category I’ve been browsing the most during Prime Big Deal Days is Halloween. I love fall and the Halloween season, so I’m making the most of the entire month to rewatch my favorite scary films, dressing up multiple times, and decorated my home even before October 1st. However, I want more! I went down quite a rabbit hole yesterday and ended up finding much more than just costumes and new decor. There’s a ton of collectibles and franchise merch across the wider horror genre that gets me even more excited for October 31st. Some of these items make great gift ideas for the Scorpio or horror fan in your life, too. Of course, not every great spooktacular find is on Amazon alone (like the Hocus Pocus LEGO cottage deal from Walmart), so there’s at least one honorable mention from another retailer that had unique deals to offer, (ahem- I couldn’t leave out the home of giant Skellys everywhere, Home Depot!)
There are many adorable plushies and Squishmallows to choose from right now on Amazon and beyond. Squishmallow has Halloween, Fall and Holiday collections live right now, with several 8” and jumbo-sized plushies discounted today. From Nightmare Before Christmas to Stranger Things to Halloween Hello Kitty, there’s no doubt you’ll be able to spot a new cute, creepy friend for October.
Note: Only 11 left in stock at the time of writing this!
Similar to the LEGO for adults phenomenon, coloring books are also not just for kids. I own about 10 adult coloring books at the moment, and my favorite ones are the creepy and sarcastic ones made for adults. They’re super entertaining and help me ease my ADHD in my downtime.
I bought this specific coloring book for my best friend whose birthday is around Halloween (and paired it with some nice colored pencils) and she loved it! It’s book six of six in this popular series from the talented Alan Robert. The other volumes are also on sale, anywhere from 20% to 53%, so be sure to see which ones catch your eye most so you don’t miss out on this gory goodness.
Another great, creepy coloring book to consider is Pop Manga Cute and Creepy by Camilla d’Errico. There’s a hedgehog bat for crying out loud! This is the time to snag this at just $6.38, typically priced at $15.99.
It’s not Halloween without scary movie nights. Luckily, you can find tons of horror classics discounted today, plus some newer releases in our top 10 list of horror and thriller movies on sale at Amazon. Here are a few popular picks from the popular “3 for 2” sale to check out in this genre.
A classic through and through, The Shining deserves to be seen every Halloween, minimally.
I absolutely loved this movie. In our review, we gave it a 9/10 and I have to agree with that score: “Ryan Coogler enters the horror realm and nails it in Sinners, which drops vampires into a deeply personal, heartfelt, emotional, sexy, and bloody story that’ll stick with you.”
This movie was messed up (in a good, horror movie-loving way). It would definitely be one I’d recommend owning and rewatching every year. See our review of the film if you somehow managed to miss it all of these years.
A classic collection to own and bring out every Halloween for movie nights and parties. Three movies bundled for just $12 is an amazing deal.
If reading scary stories wasn’t enough for you, you can now listen to them too. Amazon is offering a deal to get Audible Premium Plus for $0.99 a month for the first 3 months, and this is included.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many official Halloween-based Crocs on sale today. However, I did spot these Ghostbusters clogs at 22% off. They’re perfect for any fan of both Crocs and Ghostbusters, and remind me of 90’s Nickelodeon slime, too. Other than that, there are Hocus Pocus glittery Crocs on sale for 20%. Browse more from the Crocs’ Halloween collection here.
Now for the outdoor Halloween decor that slaps…
$40 for a 3-foot tall inflatable Sandworm from one of the best horror-comedies ever is not a bad deal at all. This would look cool in anyone’s yard, big or small.
Home Depot is offering free shipping today only, (Oct 8th), and has some of the biggest, most reliable outdoor Halloween decorations you can find. Unfortunately, the 12-foot Skellys are not on sale today, but if you have deep pockets and want to go all out for Halloween, you can get a “Skeleton Crew” bundle including the 12-foot Skelly at $150 off right now, which is priced a little scarily at $1,075 total still. However, it does include five total classic Skellys which is not shabby. There are a few other Halloween yard dolls and statues I’ve included so you can pick and choose how to scare and/or impress your neighbors for years to come.
To end the list, I must include Halloween treat deals so you can stock up and be ready for trick-or-treaters. Even if you don’t get any trick-or-treaters and it’s all for you, I won’t tell. There’s much more I didn’t include, but these were the top notch finds for me.
In addition to Halloween gummy bears, you can also grab a 4.5 lb bag of the best gummy bears out there for just $16 on Amazon. For even more deals outside of Halloween, check out our recommendations for what to buy before October Prime Day ends.
