The biggest winter weather event of the fall season takes aim at Mt. Hood and much of Oregon’s high terrain. Cooler and wetter weather will work its way back into the Pacific Northwest by this weekend.
Snow elevation levels will start to fall over the weekend. Snow showers could drop as low as 4,000′ early next week. Snow falling in places like Government Camp will likely melt fast, but could cause some slushy roads by Sunday and Monday.
Snow showers will start to clear by Tuesday, but colder temperatures left behind will keep the accumulated snow in place. Some of Oregon’s ski resorts could see more than a foot of snow by the end of this winter weather event next week.
This bigger snow event comes a week after Mt. Hood saw a dusting of snow as cooler and wetter weather returns to the Pacific Northwest.
