ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Lockwood Park is hosting its annual Fall on the Farm event this weekend, offering a variety of activities for families to enjoy.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring attractions such as a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and the opportunity to meet various farm animals.

“It’s just a great way for people to get outside and enjoy the fall and enjoy each other,” said Nicole Cabe, a representative from Lockwood Park.

Visitors can purchase a wristband for $15, which includes access to most activities. Additional fees apply for pony rides and pumpkins, priced at $8 and $7 respectively.

The event aims to educate children about farm life and animal care. “Teaching kids how to take care of the animals and where their food comes from is very important,” Nicole explained.

Among the animals featured are chickens, cows, and goats. The park also offers farm field trips where children can interact with the animals and learn more about agriculture.

Cabe said Fall on the Farm provides an engaging way for families to connect with nature and learn about farm life, making it a cherished annual tradition at Lockwood Park.
