Clean sweep: Bakersfield police officers win big at San Diego police training
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Four officers with the Bakersfield Police Department competed at a motorcycle skills event in San Diego in early October.

The San Diego County Motor Officers’ Association’s Annual Police Motorcycle Training and Competition was held in Mission Bay, Oct. 3 and 4.

Senior Officer Richard Robles, Senior Officer Justin Enns, Officer Aaron Waddle and Officer Matthew Ronk participated in the competition.

The five categories the officers placed first in were Main Event, 4-Man Team Ride, 2-Man Tether Ride, 2-Man Chase and the Slow Race.

BPD officers competed against officers from the Tijuana Police Department, Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the Apache County Arizona Sheriff’s Office on Harley Davidson Electra Glides.

2-Man Chase
1st: Bakersfield PD; Team members: Richard Robles, Aaron Waddle
3rd: Bakersfield PD; Team members: Justin Enns, Matthew Ronk

Slow Race
1st: Justin Enns, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD
2nd: Richard Robles, Senior Police Officer, Bakersfield PD
