LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two men were arrested on Wednesday morning for allegedly stealing cooking oil from restaurants in London.

Sergio Gonzalez and Richard Delgado were arrested after reports of a theft in progress on South Laurel Road near El Pescador.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

According to an arrest citation, London police received a call about two men pumping cooking oil from waste tanks of several restaurants in the area into the back of a box truck.

After a short investigation, it was determined that Gonzalez was not employed to transfer the cooking oil, and the truck was registered to Delgado as his personal vehicle.

LATEST KENTUCKY LISTS AND RANKINGS:

Both were charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
