The annual event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and community members for food, music, and celebration, officials said.
According to a spokesperson, this year’s picnic will feature a “Celebration of Champions” theme, recognizing Trojan athletic teams that earned conference titles between 2023 and 2025, including the 2024 and 2025 OVC Tournament Champion Baseball Team, and several other championship programs across basketball, golf, track and field, and wrestling.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back for BBQ at Bailey, a tradition that unites our community,” said Kristi Smith, associate vice chancellor for alumni and development. “This year we’ll celebrate our championship teams and make the day even more special with alumni and community volunteers stepping up to serve in honor of our student-athletes.”
Whole Hog Cafe will cater the event, offering barbecue and vegetarian options, with desserts from Community Bakery. Entertainment will include DJ Klassik Entertainment, the Trojan Pep Band, and UA Little Rock’s mascot, Maximus. Alumnus Travis “Tre’ Day” Rowan, host of the Drive Time Show on Power 92.3FM, will broadcast live from the celebration, officials said.
