PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two members of the Oregon men’s basketball team were named to the All-Big Ten team on Tuesday: senior center Nate Bittle and junior guard Jackson Shelstad.

Both returners were on the All-Big Ten third team at the end of last year after a brief NCAA March Madness run. Bittle was both a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year award and made the Big Ten All-Defensive team.

Bittle is in his fifth season of NCAA eligibility after deciding to return to Oregon to finish out his college career. He is coming off a highly productive 2024-25 season where he led Oregon with 14.2 points per game, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks.

The Central Point, Ore. native also led the Big Ten in number of blocked shots (74) and was second in the conference with 2.1 blocks per game.

Shelstad has been a key member of the Oregon program, starting all 35 games last season and leading the team with 32.9 minutes played per game. The West Linn, Ore. native averaged 13.7 points (.451 FG%, .379 3P%, .835 FT%), 2.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and one steal in 2024-25.
