Auditor General Tim DeFoor kicked off the “Be Money $mart” financial literacy contest Monday with half-day kindergarten at the West Shore YMCA in Camp Hill. The contest seeks a cover design for a new financial literacy activity book to help students and their caregivers learn to plan for their financial future.

Pennsylvania students K-12 can enter. The winner will not only have their design featured on the “Be Money $mart” activity book’s cover but will also have it unveiled at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg and will get to meet DeFoor.
