
1 arrested, 1 hurt in Minnepolis shooting
Police say they’ve made an arrest after a man was seriously wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the shooting was first reported around 2:42 p.m. on Clinton Avenue between East 19th Street and Franklin Avenue. The shooting victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with an injury that police believe to be life-threatening.
The shooting suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived. Police say they arrested a juvenile male in connection with the shooting.
Authorities declined to share the juvenile’s age or how he was connected to the incident.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS footage of the scene shows several bright green evidence markers surrounding a silver sedan. The car appears to have just exited a parking lot adjacent to an apartment building.
MPD investigators are still working to learn what led to the shooting.
