Lowell High in SF given all clear after earlier evacuation due to bomb threat

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Lowell High School in San Francisco was temporarily evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to report of a bomb threat. All students and staff are currently safe, according to the San Francisco Unified School District.

As of around 3:30 p.m., police had given the all clear and students were resuming regular student activities, according to the district.

“We appreciate the school’s leadership and staff, and swift response of SFUSD teams and our city partners for their support,” school officials said.

The San Francisco Police Department is investigating, according to school district officials. SFUSD said it would be sharing updates directly with students and families.

According to SFPD, officers responded around 1:12 p.m. Tuesday to the school, which is located at Eucalyptus and Forestview regarding a possible threat. Officers arrived on the scene with additional resources including K9 Units and Tactical Teams.
