Local Grammy-nominated violinist brings Christmas spirit with upcoming holiday production

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — This holiday season, world-renowned and Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker and her newly established SoulFill Music Foundation are bringing a message of hope, healing, and faith to communities across the country with the inspiring Christmas production,

The show, which has touched audiences for several years, is now being presented by the SoulFill Music Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Baker earlier this spring. The foundation’s mission is to make uplifting, faith-filled productions accessible to all, especially families and underserved individuals. Thanks to generous donations from sponsors, tickets are available at significantly reduced prices.

“I really feel like Heavenly Father inspired the creation of this foundation,” said Baker. “It allows me to partner with interfaith groups and bring like-minded individuals together so we can all worship Jesus Christ together.”

The tour will visit 13 cities across the United States. Each city was chosen as a way to show support for the Light the World Giving Machines initiative.

Every performance will feature a blend of world-class talent and local artistry, including:

  • Christmas carols arranged by Emmy Award-winning composer Kurt Bestor
  • Script by New York Times best-selling author Jason F. Wright
  • Local choirs, ballet, and Irish dancers

“It’s always a joy to perform music that impacts people,” Baker shared. “This show is impactful — it’s not just entertainment, but something that can actually change your soul, bring you closer to Christ, and fill you with the true Christmas spirit.”

In addition to the holiday tour, SoulFill Music hosts the Jenny Oaks Baker String Performance Workshop every summer, welcoming string players of all levels to refine their technique and connect through music.

The foundation is actively seeking donations to continue these productions and initiatives in order to provide affordable access to these hope-filled, faith-promoting shows. Contributions help fund future productions, build bridges through musical diplomacy, and ensure that more individuals can experience the transformative power of faith-centered performances.
