Live Nation, Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall, and New Country 96.3 (KSCS-FM) have launched the Inaugural Stockyards Showdown, a first-of-its-kind talent search to find North Texas’ next country music sensation. The competition is open to high school students across 22 North Texas counties and welcomes all styles of country musicians, including singer-songwriters, bands, and DJs.
Submissions are open now through November 30, 2025, and finalists will take the stage at Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall in the Fort Worth Stockyards for the semifinals on January 17 and 24, 2026, followed by the grand finale on February 7, 2026.
The grand prize winner will perform as the opening act for a Live Nation concert, receive a $3,000 donation to their school’s music program, enjoy a VIP dinner at Tannahill’s or Paloma Suerte, and earn tickets to upcoming concerts.
