Storm Team 10 and the National Hurricane Center are monitoring a tropical wave in the central Atlantic for tropical development in the coming days. The NHC has a 90% chance this area becomes a tropical system within two days, more than likely this will become Jerry. Similar to most storms this season, the tropical wave will track north of the Caribbean Sea, followed by a northerly turn that keeps it away from the Gulf.

A new area of showers and storms over the Yucatan Peninsula has a very low chance for tropical development as it drifts west into the Bat of Campeche. This disturbance will continue a westward track into Mexico and should stay well south of the U.S. Gulf Coast.
