Princeville is the only school in Illinois that won $25,000 and has the chance to win the grand prize from the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition.
As part of their social media campaign, they hit the road to Dunlap High School.
The Prince, mass communications students, football players, and cheerleaders from Princeville took a trip to Dunlap to show appreciation for the school’s help in their competition, a post on Princeville’s Facebook said.
“The Dunlap community has been absolutely amazing in showing support for Princeville during the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition, and today’s visit was all about celebrating that connection,” the post said.
The post also took the chance to add some light-hearted humor about the two new besties.
“Seeing The Prince and The Eagle unite was nothing short of spectacular — and yes, they’ve officially formed an alliance,” the post said.
A video of the two mascots meeting can be seen here.
On Sept. 25, the school held a pep rally to announce the winning of the $25,000 prize, which saw students from all the Princeville schools in attendance.
They would even end up getting a shout-out from former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski and Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey.
Those wanting to vote can do so once a day until Oct. 24 here.
According to the voting website, they are currently in 16th place with a total of 56,000 votes.
