MORGAN COUNTY, Utah (
ABC4) — A plane had to make an emergency landing on I-84 in Morgan County.
Morgan County Fire & EMS said that they were dispatched to a reported plane crash on the westbound side of I-84 at 3:22 p.m. A small aircraft had to make an emergency landing and landed near milepost 100, near Stoddard Lane, on I-84, in an area in Morgan County.
Sergeant Mike Alexander, with the Utah Highway Patrol, said that the aircraft is a single engine and is privately owned. It is believed that the aircraft came from Mountain Green before having to land.
The pilot had experienced engine trouble but was able to land successfully on I-84. Additionally, nobody was injured. However, the plane was blocking an intersection and UHP troopers responded to the scene to help direct traffic until the plane could be moved.

According to Utah Department of Transportation, all lanes were blocked. Additionally, the exit ramp, left shoulder, and right shoulder were all closed. However, the pilot and plane have both made it home safely.
Morgan County Fire and EMS said, “We’d like to give the pilot a big shout-out for an impressive landing.”
“And for everyone else stuck in traffic today… sorry, but not every slowdown is caused by a fender-bender — sometimes it’s a plane!” They added.
