The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched around 10 p.m. to Robert E. Cox Road, about 9 miles south of London.
According to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived, they made contact with Tammy Cundiff, the parent of the two children, and Brian Smith.
The office said the two allegedly made brownies with marijuana and brownies without marijuana, and that the children had eaten the brownies with marijuana.
Social services were reportedly notified and came to the scene to conduct their investigation.
The father of the two children was notified and took the children to Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin for treatment of a possible overdose.
Tammy Lynn Cundiff, 30, and 29-year-old Brian Taylor Smith were both charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
They were booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center.
