WASHINGTON D.C. (WRBL) — Effective Saturday, October 11, 2025, TSA workers at Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson International Airport will receive relief during the shut down of the U.S. government.

According to Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, the following measures will be implemented:

  • Free Parking- TSA employees will have access to complimentary parking during their work hours.
  • Meal Vouchers- Two meal vouchers per shift will be given to full-time TSA employees, while part-time workers will receive one voucher per shift.
  • Concessionaire Support- Airport concession stands may offer discounts or special meals to TSA workers during the shutdown period.

The government shutdown, which began on Oct. 1, 2025 at 12:01 a.m., leaves thousands of federal workers without pay, even as some continue to work.
