Three arrested in connection with Amelia armed robbery with hammer, pepper spray
Lee Michael Boudreaux, 50, of Amelia, and Alexis Lacoste Gros, 29, of Thibodaux, were arrested Oct. 1 and charged with principal to armed robbery.
Jewel Ann Ross, 41, of Morgan City, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for armed robbery.
The St. Mary Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on North Verret Street in Amelia to a report of a man who was robbed and sprayed with an unknown substance.
The man said his wallet had been taken from him by three people, two females and a male, during which one person was threatening him with a hammer and he was pepper-sprayed by another.
The two female suspects were identified as Ross and Gros and the male suspect was identified as Boudreaux, officials said. The man said Ross had taken his wallet and left the residence.
Boudreaux and Gros were located and taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. A warrant was obtained for Ross, who was located on Sunday and arrested, authorities said.
Bail for Boudreaux and Gros was set at at $40,000 each, and for Ross at $50,000.
